Q4 Plus Weed Control
Product Description
Control crabgrass, yellow nutsedge, and broadleaf weeds with one professional-strength lawn treatment. Q4 Plus combines four active ingredients to control several types of weeds without requiring separate products for grassy weeds, sedges, and broadleaf weeds.
It is a good choice for lawns with a mix of common weeds, including crabgrass, foxtail, yellow nutsedge, clover, chickweed, dandelion, and ground ivy.
Why Choose Q4 Plus?
- Controls Multiple Weed Types: Targets grassy weeds, sedges, and broadleaf weeds in one application.
- Controls Crabgrass and Nutsedge: Handles two of the most frustrating weeds found in home lawns.
- Works on Common Broadleaf Weeds: Controls clover, chickweed, dandelion, ground ivy, and many other listed weeds.
- Built-In Surfactant: No additional surfactant is normally needed.
- Use on Several Lawn Types: Labeled for Tall Fescue, Kentucky Bluegrass, Ryegrass, Bermuda, and Zoysia lawns.
Best Uses
- Lawns with crabgrass and broadleaf weeds growing together
- Yellow nutsedge mixed with other common lawn weeds
- Spot-treating weeds throughout the lawn
- Blanket applications when weeds are spread across a large area
- Spring, summer, and fall applications while weeds are actively growing
Application Rate
Cool-Season Lawns: Mix 2.6–3.0 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft.
Bermuda and Zoysia Lawns: Mix 1.8–2.6 fl oz per 1,000 sq ft.
Mix the measured product with enough water to evenly cover 1,000 sq ft. A common starting point is 1 gallon of finished spray per 1,000 sq ft, but the water is only the carrier. The measured amount of Q4 Plus and the treated square footage are what matter.
How to Apply
- Measure the lawn area you plan to treat.
- Add water to your pump or backpack sprayer.
- Measure the correct amount of Q4 Plus for your lawn type.
- Add the product to the tank and mix thoroughly.
- Spray the weeds and leaf surfaces evenly without excessive runoff.
- Allow the treatment to dry before allowing people or pets back onto the lawn.
Important Application Information
- Apply when weeds are actively growing.
- Do not apply to drought-stressed or heat-stressed grass.
- Avoid mowing for 1–2 days before and after application.
- Allow at least 6 hours without rain or irrigation after applying.
- Wait at least 7 days before seeding most labeled grasses.
- Wait at least 14 days before seeding Kentucky Bluegrass.
- Always follow the product label for your grass type, weeds, and local restrictions.

Doesn’t Work and Can’t Refund
"I rarely leave negative reviews, and I want to start by saying that I’ve had great experiences with Lawn Synergy overall. Their other products have worked well for me, and my past interactions with their team have been positive. That’s why this situation has been so frustrating. I purchased their Q4 herbicide for my tall fescue lawn here in Charlotte, NC to deal with the typical weeds we get in this region. After applying it exactly as directed, I saw essentially no effect on the weeds. I emailed Lawn Synergy about it, and they told me to wait two more weeks as apparently the product is extremely sensitive to temperature changes and because sometimes it takes longer to work. I did exactly that and waited. Two weeks later there was still no meaningful change at all. When I followed up again, asking for a refund since the product clearly wasn’t working, I was told they cannot refund opened products and that they are only the distributor, so I would need to contact a third party manufacturer to resolve the issue. From start to finish, this has been a frustrating experience: 1) Product didn’t work as advertised 2) I followed their instructions and waited longer 3) No resolution was offered Again, I really appreciate this company and what they have to offer, but this product is not up to their standard."
