BioBoost 5-3-0 Organics Lawn Fertilizer
Product Description
Build healthier soil while giving your lawn gentle, slow-release nutrition. BioBoost 5-3-0 is a low-nitrogen biosolids fertilizer made for improving soil organic matter, nutrient-holding capacity, and long-term lawn health without forcing excessive top growth.
Its slow-release formula is especially useful during summer heat, on lawns with poor soil, and around newer homes where the original topsoil may have been removed or heavily disturbed during construction.
Why Choose BioBoost 5-3-0?
- Builds Soil Organic Matter: Adds organic material that helps improve the soil over time.
- Improves Nutrient-Holding Capacity: Helps sandy, compacted, and low-organic-matter soils hold nutrients more effectively.
- Safe for Summer Feeding: The low-nitrogen, slow-release formula provides gentle nutrition without pushing excessive growth during hot weather.
- Supports Better Lawn Color: Provides steady nutrition with added iron for a deeper green appearance.
- Ideal for Poor or Disturbed Soil: A great choice for new-construction lawns with minimal topsoil or weak soil structure.

"Fantastic product! Was a Scotts person for years -"
Confused on this product!
"First, I have always had great success with Lawn Synergy products which is why I will continue to order them. This time I ordered Lawn Synergy Micronutrient Booster and was delivered Reed and Perrine Pro Series 5-3-0 Micronutrient. I assumed it was the same product and followed the instructions on the bag which called for a spreader setting of 5-5 1/2. Looking back on the webpage, the directions call for a spreader setting of 9. Did I under use this product or am I good? If I would have set to 9, would I have overused this product and possibly hurt my lawn. Some clarification on the site may prevent customer issues with this."

Q&A
- Can the Bio Boost 5-3-0 be used as my main fertilizer year round, or does it need to be in conjunction with Emerald or Almighty? Live in the Northeast and want a low nitrogen fertilizer.
- This product is used and recommended as a soil corrective to add organics back into the soil. This should be used in conjunction with regular fertilizers and shouldn't be used year around. I would recommend a soil sample to see if this product is in need at your property.
- I currently use Ferti Lome 15-0-15 as my go to fertilizer on my new Palisades Zoysia lawn in North Texas Dallas area, which was new sod in Oct 2024, and has grown in beautifully. I'm interested in this bio fertilizer 5-3-0. Question is, can I substitute the bio fertilizer 5-3-0 instead of using the 15-0-15? It's getting hard to keep up on what fertilizers and months to add and when not to add. Will the 5-3-0 fertilizer be used as my main fertilizer or do I need to use both? Any advice is much appreciated as my thumb isn't green yet.
- Bioboost is great for building up the soil with organics. It can be used with a current fertilization program. We would suggest Emerald 10-0-20 at this time of the year on Zoysia unless you need more growth.
- I have recently seeded my lawn with North Star grass seed and I used your starter fertilizer along with it. It’s been about 3 weeks and everything is coming in great. I’m wondering when I should apply fertilizer again and what kind do you recommend I use?
- Great question. Apply Emerald at 5lbs per 1,000 sqft 6 weeks after applying starter to keep it going.
- When is the best time of year to apply this for a tall fescue lawn in Virginia?
- Anytime of year is good for this one! Thank you!
- Are The Bio Solids used in some of the fertilizer formulas tested for PFAS and other known pollutants prior to packing and distribution? Does Lawn Synergy have standards for these measurements? Can the be made public?
- 5-3-0 is regulated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. 5-3-0 is registered as a fertilizer by the New Jersey Department of Agriculture and is Labeled for turf and ornamental plant use. 5-3-0 is nearly water insoluble so there is less chance of the nutrients leaching into and polluting groundwater sources. This is especially important in Sandy Soils. The release of nutrients is very slow, being broken down through naturally occurring soil microorganisms. Our monitoring presently, is in preliminary studies. As stated previously, the state of New Jersey has not set parameters on PFAS for biosolids fertilizer on land applications.
