North Star looks fantastic. I

"North Star looks fantastic. I lost some seedlings due to an unexpectedly late freeze, but that's hardly the fault of the seed. The ones that survived and the seed I put down after the freeze are looking good."

Very happy with the north start seed blend

"I live in zone 7b. I used Lawn Synergy's North Star grass seed for my fall overseed. I wanted to try their blend that included mostly tall fescue but had some Kentucky blue grass in it for its self-repairing properties. The results were excellent. my next door neighbor texted me, "Your lawn looks awesome!". So I ordered it again for my spring overseed. Thanks for putting out an excellent product."

Happy Kentucky Girl

"Used North Star Kentucky Bluegrass & Tall Fescue blend to overseed a primarily all Bluegrass front yard in MO about 6 weeks ago. Very pleased with how full, lush and green it looks now. Used all 25 lbs on what you see in the pic plus a side yard."

First Time Grass Planting

"I am very pleased with the results of my work. New growth is happening after just 10 days of overseeing. My lawn was very weak and sadly in need of new grass. I am very much looking forward to watch the Fescue get taller & thicker. The Kentucky Blue should fill in later. I think it will be awesome."

Q&A

Which seed blend would better for Eastern Nebraska? Envy Tall fescue or North Star Tall Feacue KY Bluegrass blend? My lawn is a newly sodded yard a little over a year old that I believe is mostly, if not all, Tall Fescue. I just aerated and would like to overseed and fill in bare spots caused by dogs.
North Star would be better for you. It contains 90% Envy Tall Fescue Blend and 10% 365SS Bluegrass Blend. It's a very special blend.
Is North Star okay to grow in transition zone - 7a? Why do you recommend envy premium tall fescue over the North Star for Washington DC area?
The summers in your area are little to warm to sustain bluegrass. Bluegrass performs better in cooler climates and will struggle with the summer heat.
Do you have to treat your lawn for weeds, before you use your grass seed and starter?
I would not recommend any post emergent **** control when planning to re-seed.
