Spring

Spring is a critical transition period for tall fescue as the lawn exits winter dormancy and prepares for summer stress. The primary focus is establishing a strong, healthy turf before heat arrives. This starts with applying pre-emergent to prevent crabgrass and other weeds before they germinate, followed by targeted weed control to clean up any existing broadleaf weeds. At the same time, steady fertilization is essential to promote root development, improve density, and build resilience. As temperatures rise, incorporating preventative fungicide and insect control helps protect against common spring and early summer threats like brown patch and grubs. When done correctly, spring sets the foundation—thicker turf, fewer weeds, and a lawn better equipped to handle the challenges ahead.

FAQ

  • What is a Lawn Synergy lawn care plan?

A Lawn Synergy plan is a personalized DIY lawn care subscription. We ship the right fertilizer and lawn nutrients at the right time based on your grass type, lawn size, and local growing conditions—so you don't have to guess.

  • How does the subscription work?

After you enter your address and lawn size, we build a custom plan for your lawn. You'll receive up to 7 shipments per year, each timed to arrive before your next application window. Payments are processed at the time of shipment.

  • Can I cancel or pause my plan?

Yes. You can pause, skip, or cancel your plan at any time. There are no contracts or long-term commitments.

  • Will this work for my grass type?

Yes. We support common grass types including Bermuda, Zoysia, Centipede, Tall Fescue, Kentucky Bluegrass, and more. Your grass type determines which products and timing your plan uses.

  • Do I need special equipment?

No. A standard broadcast spreader is all you need. We provide spreader settings and application guidance for each shipment.

  • Will this kill weeds?

Your plan focuses on preventing weeds before they start and strengthening your lawn so it naturally crowds them out. Some shipments may include pre-emergents depending on the season. We do recommend adding weed control to your program to clean up existing weeds.

  • How long does each application take?

Most applications take 15–30 minutes, depending on lawn size.

  • What can I expect after signing up?

We will build your plan within 2 business days and send you an email notifying you when and where you can access it. We will also have expected dates for your first delivery.

  • What if I need more help?

With a subscription plan, you have direct access to our lawn experts. We take pride in our customer service. We're here for you. Contact us.
