Installation: Prepare area before installing sod. Soil must be loosened and disturbed prior to installation. Install sod immediately following delivery.

Simply unroll sod and keep watered. Sod must be watered multiple times per day during installation to prevent from drying out. Once sod becomes rooting in, you can then begin to space out frequency of watering and return to deep watering 1-2 times per week.

*Sod will not be under warranty. Sod is alive upon delivery. As long as installation instructions are followed, sod will root in and begin to grow.

Weekend sod orders will ship the following Tuesday. Sod will be cut on Monday.

How Often To Wall Tall Fescue Sod?

Sod needs to be watered immediately at time of installation. Soaking your sod throughly is critical to survival during the first week of installation. We recommend at least 3-4 times a day during the first 1-2 weeks. Sod should be checked multiple times daily to make sure there are no dry areas or puddling from too much water. As the sod becomes rooting in, frequency of watering can be diminished and watering times can be increased for a more deeper watering.

When To Fertilizer Tall Fescue Sod

You can apply fertilizer at time of installation or after. We suggest at time of installation so that the fertilizer can break down and begin to activate and feed new sod as the sod begins to root in. As the sod begins to root in, essential nutrients will be available for the new tall fescue sod.

Can I Install Sod During The Summer?

Yes, sod can be installed at any time of the year. If it is hot during the summer, irrigating will be even more critical as the tall fescue sod can dry out faster causing damage. Watering run times and frequency will also need to be increased during the hot summer months when installing sod.
