"I didn't think the Lesco spreader would be much better than my old Scott's spreader however I was wrong! I get it now. The Lesco spreader is significantly better in every way. It holds more fertilizer, is significantly easier to push and spreads much further than the Scott's. This purchase was not cheap and while I wish an edge gaurd came with it, I am very happy with the purchase."

"Bought this spreader for the fall fertilization season. Assembly was simple (~15 min) and it is a decently rugged unit. Used it so far to put down lime (pellets) and some 10-10-10 over about an acre. It performed well and for the $300-$350 price point is what you’d expect. I replaced a very disappointing Agri-Fab unit that lasted ~2. 5 years which was a replacement for a 15+ year old Craftsman spreader The build of the LESCO spreader is more inline with the old Sears unit and as such I would expect an easy decade or two from this LESCO spreader."

"I got sick of wearing out and trying to tape by Scott’s spreader together to go another year so I ended up buying this one. I figured it would be better because lesco is what landscapers use. Well I won’t be replacing this anytime soon. It is much heavier duty and is actually must easier to push when full. I feel like I’m also getting a much better spread pattern. It was easy to put together too."

- Does this come assembled?
- It does need to be assembled but only the handle and base. It is minimal
- What is the approximate spreader pattern width of the 50 ib. spreader. I understand there are different particle sizes, the weight of each particle, and the speed you walk, etc. Approximate, best guess, for my planning purposes; i.e. 8-10-12-15 feet, etc.
- 8-10 feet walking slow. 12-15 feet moderately walking. You want to make sure your spread pattern is about reaching the tire mark from your last pass.
