LESCO Dimension 19-0-6 contains 0.15% Dithiopyr (Dimension®), a professional pre-emergent herbicide that not only prevents crabgrass but also provides early post-emergent control of young crabgrass seedlings.

This makes it a strong option if soil temperatures are approaching — or have just crossed — the 55°F mark in spring.

What Makes Dimension Different?

• Pre-emergent control of crabgrass and annual weeds
• Early post-emergent activity on crabgrass up to the 1–3 leaf stage
• Provides a small forgiveness window if application timing is slightly late

Most traditional pre-emergents (like prodiamine) strictly prevent germination. Dimension adds limited early post control, which can be helpful during unpredictable spring weather.

Fertilizer Breakdown

• 19% Nitrogen for aggressive spring green-up
• 30% PolyPlus OPTI45 slow-release nitrogen for extended feeding
• 6% Potassium to support stress tolerance and root strength

This higher-nitrogen formula is commonly used for strong early-season growth while establishing weed protection.

Application Timing

• Apply in early spring before soil temperatures consistently exceed 55°F
• Can still provide control shortly after crabgrass germinates in early stages
• Water in with at least ½ inch of irrigation or rainfall to activate
