"I’ve used multiple different brands over the past few years and they never worked. So I decided to use lawn synergy. I had multiple bald spots due to killing off crabgrass that grew through out my lawn. After preparing the area, I over seeded, covered with some top soil and used the starter fertilizer I also purchased at lawn synergy and within 10 days seeds started to emerge and with each passing day it’s starting to thicken. Very excited about the results and can’t wait until next year to fully over seed the entire lawn. Best Seed I Ever Used

"I had a big bare spot from heavy sun and no water while I was on vacation, my mistake. I've tried scotts grass seeds and never had much luck so I figured I would buy a premium seed and this stuff sprouted in the first 5 days and filled in really well. It has a nice color to it and the germination rate seems very high compared to Scotts. I also dont see any weeds growing with it which is a plus. I had simply put down some scotts top soil which i dont recommend then this seed and then added some straw. I left the straw for 3 weeks with watering 3x daily for 15 mins the first two weeks then 2x daily for the 4th week now just ever other day. Even put down scotts weed and feed at week 4 by mistake and the new grass is doing great, I just have did some research before I applied that as it said to wait till 8 weeks. I plan to buy more for my back yard come spring. I'm using this in Upstate NY."

Which seed blend would better for Eastern Nebraska? Envy Tall fescue or North Star Tall Feacue KY Bluegrass blend? My lawn is a newly sodded yard a little over a year old that I believe is mostly, if not all, Tall Fescue. I just aerated and would like to overseed and fill in bare spots caused by dogs.
North Star would be better for you. It contains 90% Envy Tall Fescue Blend and 10% 365SS Bluegrass Blend. It's a very special blend.
Is North Star okay to grow in transition zone - 7a? Why do you recommend envy premium tall fescue over the North Star for Washington DC area?
The summers in your area are little to warm to sustain bluegrass. Bluegrass performs better in cooler climates and will struggle with the summer heat.
Do you have to treat your lawn for weeds, before you use your grass seed and starter?
I would not recommend any post emergent **** control when planning to re-seed.
