Triclopyr 4 Herbicide
Product Description
Triclopyr 4 Herbicide is a concentrated post-emergent herbicide for controlling tough broadleaf weeds, vines, woody brush, and unwanted trees. It is a strong choice when ordinary lawn weed killers are not enough for weeds such as wild violet, ground ivy, clover, oxalis, plantain, dandelion, poison ivy, blackberry, sumac, and other labeled species.
- Controls annual and perennial broadleaf weeds
- Targets woody brush, vines, shrubs, and unwanted trees
- Can be used on established tall fescue, perennial bluegrass, and perennial ryegrass
- Suitable for foliar, basal bark, and cut-stump treatments when used according to the label
Best Uses
Use Triclopyr 4 for hard-to-control broadleaf weeds in labeled cool-season turf, or for managing woody vegetation around fence rows, rights-of-way, pastures, non-crop areas, and other approved sites. It is especially useful for poison ivy, wild violet, ground ivy, blackberry, sumac, sweetgum, tree-of-heaven, willow, and unwanted tree regrowth. Also when mixed with fusilade for bermuda suppression in cool season lawns.
Application Rate
Spot treatments on ornamental turf: Mix 3/8 to 3/4 fluid ounce per 1,000 sq ft in enough water to evenly cover the target weeds. Do not exceed 1.5 fluid ounces per 1,000 sq ft in a single application.
When mixed with water, Triclopyr 4 forms an emulsion and should be continuously agitated during application. Do not water the treated turf for 24 hours. Application rates and mixing directions for woody brush, basal bark, and cut-stump treatments vary by use, plant species, and treatment method. Always follow the complete product label.
Turf Safety: Labeled for use on established perennial bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, and tall fescue. Do not apply to bahiagrass, bentgrass, bermudagrass, centipedegrass, St. Augustine grass, or zoysiagrass unless temporary or permanent turf injury can be tolerated.
