Product Description

MSM 60WDG Select Herbicide is a professional-grade selective post-emergent herbicide designed to control tough broadleaf weeds and certain grassy weeds in labeled turfgrass areas. Powered by 60% metsulfuron-methyl, MSM 60WDG Select is highly concentrated and effective at very low use rates.

It is especially useful for controlling difficult weeds such as bahiagrass, ryegrass, foxtail, Virginia buttonweed, dollarweed, clover, dandelion, chickweed, plantain, spurge, wild onion, wild garlic, and many other labeled weeds.

This product is a strong choice for warm-season turf weed control, especially where bahiagrass or broadleaf weeds are a problem in Bermudagrass or St. Augustinegrass. MSM 60WDG Select is absorbed through plant foliage and roots, helping stop weed growth and deliver effective control over time.

For best results, apply to actively growing weeds, use a properly calibrated sprayer, and follow the label for your turf type, target weed, rate, timing, and surfactant recommendations.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

MSM 60WDG Select is used for selective post-emergent control of labeled broadleaf weeds and certain grassy weeds.

MSM 60WDG Select contains 60% metsulfuron-methyl, a Group 2 sulfonylurea herbicide.

It is not the exact same product, but the manufacturer lists MSM 60WDG Select as a product to compare to Manor.

The label lists control of bahiagrass, ryegrass, and foxtail in turf.

Yes. Virginia buttonweed is listed on the label. The label notes that it controls seedling Virginia buttonweed and suppresses more mature plants, and a repeat application may be needed in 4–6 weeks.

Yes. It is labeled for selective control of bahiagrass in Bermudagrass turf. The label lists a rate range of 0.25 to 0.75 oz per acre, with a repeat application in 4–6 weeks if needed.

Yes, St. Augustinegrass is listed as a labeled turfgrass. Use the correct labeled rate and avoid applying to stressed turf.

Be careful. The label includes fescue in some industrial/unimproved turf and grass-use sections, but the professional turf section says use only on Kentucky bluegrass, fine fescue, Bermudagrass, and St. Augustinegrass. It also warns that tall fescue may temporarily stunt, yellow, or experience seedhead suppression.

A non-ionic surfactant can improve performance, but it may temporarily increase turf chlorosis.

The label says to wait 2 months, or 8 weeks, after application before overseeding.
