Mixing Rates and Application Guidelines

• Sedge Control: Apply .028 ounces/1,000 sqft when weeds have reached the 3- to 8-leaf stage. If necessary, a second application of .028 ounces/1,000 sqft can be made four or more weeks after the first treatment.
• Tall Fescue Control: Apply .028 ounces/1,000 sqft, followed by a second application of .028 ounces/1,000 sqft 21 to 28 days later. A single application of .045 ounces/1,000 sqft can also be used.
• Dallisgrass Suppression (in Bermudagrass): Apply .028 ounces/1,000 sqft of Certainty combined with 2 lbs. of MSMA per acre and 0.25% nonionic surfactant (1 quart per 100 gallons of spray solution). A repeat application 2 to 4 weeks later improves results.
• Annual Bluegrass (Poa annua) Control: Apply .028-.045 ounces/1,000 sqft, using the higher rate for dense infestations.
• Overseeded Perennial Ryegrass Transition: Apply .028 ounces/1,000 sqft, followed by a second application 21 to 28 days later. For a single application, use 045 ounces/1,000 sqft.
