Application Rate

Do not apply more than 1 lb of nitrogen per 1,000 sq ft in a single application.

  • Light feeding — 0.25 lb nitrogen: Apply approximately 0.54 lb of product per 1,000 sq ft.
  • Moderate feeding — 0.5 lb nitrogen: Apply approximately 1.1 lbs of product per 1,000 sq ft.
  • Full feeding — 1 lb nitrogen: Apply approximately 2.17 lbs of product per 1,000 sq ft.

Water in immediately after application. Avoid applying to heat-stressed or drought-stressed turf. Uneven application, excessive rates, or leaving the granules on dry turf may cause fertilizer burn.

Looking for a more forgiving option? For easier application and longer-lasting feeding, consider a controlled-release fertilizer such as Lawn Synergy Almighty 20-0-10.

Q&A

If using a dial N spray hose end sprayer can you put granules in it or do you have to melt the granules to liquid to apply it to lawn? It seems watering it in will be more evenly.
This product can be mixed into water for a liquid application. I would recommend using a pump sprayer or backpack sprayer instead of a hose end sprayer for this product to ensure even distribution.
What to set the Scott's wizz broadcaster
Maximum recommended rate: 1 lb of nitrogen per 1,000 sq ft per application. 1 lb N → 2.17 lbs of product per 1,000 sq ft 0.5 lb N → 1 lb of product per 1,000 sq ft Please reach out to us via email at support@lawnsynergy.com for more recommendations for your spreader settings.
Do this product contain a polymer coating?
46-0-0 is pure urea without any coating.
How much water do I need to melt 1lb of 46-0-0 for 0.5lb for 1000sqft
Water volume is just a carrier — it doesn’t change the nutrient rate, only helps with coverage. The main goal is to apply evenly without burning. Typical spray volumes for soluble fertilizers: 1–2 gallons of water per 1,000 ft² (common for turf spraying). Urea is highly soluble so it dissolves easily in small volumes. So you can safely dissolve your ~1.1 lb of urea in 1 gallon of water and spray that evenly over 1,000 ft². If you want better coverage, use 2–3 gallons.
Is this 100% soluble, without residue? I want to apply it to fruit trees through a drip fertigation system. Thanks.
Yes it is. However our 20-20-20 water soluble would be much better since it contains many other nutrients.
