Ornamec 170 Grass Herbicide

Ornamec herbicide is a specialized and selective post-emergent herbicide designed to effectively control unwanted Bermuda grass growth within tall fescue lawns and zoysia lawns.  Also Ornamec is great for controlling  weeds in landscape beds. Ornamec contains the active ingredient fluazifop-P-butyl, which belongs to the aryloxyphenoxypropionate chemical class. Importantly, Ornamec herbicide is formulated to have minimal impact on tall fescue grass, making it a valuable tool for selective weed control in lawns where Bermuda grass is unwanted.

Application and Usage:

To effectively use Ornamec herbicide to eradicate Bermuda grass from tall fescue lawns, follow these general guidelines:

1. Timing: Apply Ornamec herbicide during the active growing season of both Bermuda grass and tall fescue, typically in late spring or early summer. Avoid treating during periods of stress such as drought or extreme heat.

2. Mowing: Before applying the herbicide, mow the lawn to a height suitable for your tall fescue grass. This will ensure better herbicide coverage and contact with the Bermuda grass.

3. Mixing and Application: Dilute the Ornamec herbicide as per the manufacturer's instructions and use a calibrated sprayer to apply it evenly over the lawn. Make sure to avoid overlapping spray patterns, which could lead to over-application and potential damage to tall fescue.
