Can I use NutriGreen during a nitrogen blackout?

Yes. NutriGreen 0-0-4 contains no added nitrogen or phosphorus, making it a good choice when you want to maintain your lawn without applying nitrogen. Always check local rules first, since blackout regulations can also restrict other fertilizer applications.

Will NutriGreen make my lawn darker green?

NutriGreen supplies iron and other micronutrients that help support healthy lawn color when those nutrients are needed. It is not a high-iron or high-nitrogen green-up fertilizer, and it cannot keep naturally dormant grass green.

What does Balaynce-D do?

Balaynce-D combines beneficial microbes, amino acids, humic and fulvic acids, and other soil-supporting ingredients. It is designed to support helpful soil biology. Results depend on your soil and lawn conditions.

Which grass types can I use it on?

NutriGreen can be used as directed on established warm-season lawns such as Bermuda, Zoysia, St. Augustine, and Centipede, as well as cool-season lawns such as Tall Fescue. Apply based on your lawn's needs and the local growing season.

How much NutriGreen should I apply?

For the 25 lb bag, apply 5 to 8.75 pounds per 1,000 square feet, as directed on the current product label. A 25 lb bag covers about 5,000 square feet at the lighter rate or 2,800 square feet at the heavier rate.

Do I need to water it in?

Spread NutriGreen evenly over dry turf. Water it in as needed, following the product label. Sweep any granules off sidewalks, driveways, and other hard surfaces.

Can NutriGreen replace my regular lawn fertilizer?

Not when your lawn needs nitrogen or phosphorus. NutriGreen provides potassium, micronutrients, and soil-supporting ingredients without those nutrients. It works best as part of a lawn care program based on your grass type and soil needs.

Can I apply NutriGreen before my grass goes dormant?

Yes, if your lawn is still actively growing and the application fits its nutrient needs and local rules. NutriGreen will not prevent natural winter dormancy or guarantee that dormant grass stays green.

Will NutriGreen stain concrete or pavers?

It contains iron, which can stain concrete or painted surfaces. Sweep granules off hardscapes immediately. Do not wash spilled fertilizer off concrete with water.

Poor Quality, kept clogging spreader

"this was the most frustrating product i’ve ever used on my lawn. I bought 100 pounds of it and it came in four 25-lb bags. Each bag had several fist sized clumps of product as well as smaller ones that would fit through my Lesco 80 lb spreader screen, but then clog up the holes before spreading. I had to stop every 5 to 10 feet for an hour and a half and unplug the holes with a screwdriver in order to just spread it. Undoubtedly this is going to come out very uneven. I have been doing my own lawn care for 6 years and never encountered such difficulty with spreading a granular product. The bags were left in my garage. they were not wet. I was looking forward to using this project again when it got warmer outside and this was going to be my test run. Unfortunately I will look elsewhere."

Is this okay for Zoysia grass: This is a great choice to introduce gentle organics into the soil for your Zoysia grass
I applied lesco starter fertilizer on 9/20/2025 Can I apply this as a winterizer in about 8 weeks or emerald?: 20-0-10 would be a much better option 4-6 weeks after the seed has germinated. Starter fertilizer will not last long especially with the additional watering. 20-0-10 will keep feeding the new seedlings.
How long does this product last in the soil until I should do another application?: 4-6 weeks would be ideal for a reapplication.
I live in South Mississippi it June almost 95 everyday. I bought 10-0-20 fertilizer should I have bought 0-0-4 because of the heat?: Both are just fine. 10-0-20 is a fantastic blend since it contains 45% slow-release nitrogen. After application, just make sure it is soaked in good to get all nutrients into the soil. Both contain iron which will darken the color also.
