Product Description

LESCO Triclopyr 4 Ester is a professional-strength selective herbicide designed for control of tough broadleaf weeds, woody plants, brush, vines, and other hard-to-control vegetation. Powered by triclopyr ester, this concentrated liquid herbicide is especially useful for targeting weeds that many standard 3-way herbicides struggle with, including wild violet, ground ivy, clover, lespedeza, oxalis, plantain, thistle, and more.

For ornamental turf, LESCO Triclopyr 4 Ester may be used on established tall fescue, perennial ryegrass, and perennial bluegrass when applied according to label directions. It can be used as a spot treatment for problem weeds or as a broadcast application where labeled. It is also labeled for non-crop areas, rights-of-way, fence rows, rangeland, permanent grass pastures, CRP acres, and woody plant control.

Bermuda Grass Suppression in Cool-Season & Zoysia Lawns

LESCO Triclopyr 4 Ester can also be used as part of a Bermuda grass suppression program when mixed with Fusilade II.  While it is not a complete one-time Bermuda grass killer, triclopyr will help weaken and suppress actively growing Bermuda grass so desirable cool-season turf and zoysia grass has a better chance to fill in and compete.

For best results, apply when Bermuda grass is actively growing and not under drought or heat stress. Repeat applications may be needed as part of a longer suppression program. Many lawn care programs use triclopyr during the growing season to slow Bermuda encroachment before fall overseeding or renovation. Avoid applying to lawns where Bermuda grass is the desired turf, since injury, discoloration, or thinning may occur.

Do not apply to bahiagrass, bentgrass, bermudagrass, centipedegrass, St. Augustine grass, or zoysiagrass, unless turf injury can be tolerated.

Use Triclopyr 4 Ester + Fusilade II/fluazifop when the goal is to suppress Bermuda in a tall fescue or zoysia lawn.  Apply only when Bermuda is actively growing, avoid drought/heat-stressed turf, and expect multiple applications.  See application rate.

Note:  In zoysia lawns, it my injure, discolor, or thin zoysia.

Do not water for 24 hours after application.
